The Center

Royal Cultural Center, is one of the most prominent Jordanian cultural edifices Enlightenment and it is a major milestone of civic landmarks in the capital, Amman, and a foster of cultural and humanitarian interaction, under the Ministry of Culture.

The Center could be since its official opening in March ,(1983) to become a habitat for president to accommodate activities, various events, occupies a position of leadership in the Jordanian Cultural Movement Service, to be the home of acculturation and a meeting place for intellectuals and artists, and a pot of cultural interactions and creative beacon of cultural interaction between cultures Sub within the Arab and Islamic culture.

The Royal Cultural Center kicks off in terms of dealing with cultural affairs of the basic pillars that are based on the philosophy of the state and its cultural and Plan of the Ministry of Culture and down to sustainable cultural development in the context of overall national development process witnessed by the Kingdom under the guidance of the wise Hashemite leadership.

With the development of the Royal Cultural Center (and which called when it was founded the Royal Theatre) and secure all it takes to turn the leadership required, especially in terms of human cadres efficient, techniques art, new facilities have had an active and influential role in advancing cultural and artistic life forward, in addition to elevate such activities through cooperation and coordination with all agencies concerned with cultural affairs, which created a private and intimate between the center and the generations of intellectuals and creators Jordanian relationship, The center has been associated with the memory of the new generation of people interested in culture and creativity, and contributed to a number of them to public opinion and allowed its platforms its potential to supplement the Jordanian cultural movement promising new names.

Royal Cultural Center in its building designed in accordance with the architectural features of art, elaborate, consistent with its mission and objectives, a number of facilities including the following:

  • Royal Court
  • Conferences halls hosted Majesties, Excellencies Arab kings and presidents during the Arab Summit, which was held on the first of the month of November ,(1980) and the Arab Summit Conference (concord and agreement Conference, 1987) and the Arab Cooperation Council in (1990), and the economic cooperation summit in (1995).
